No, the dialog was good, nobody wasn’t chronically talking over each other or hogging the microphone as it were. Whenever a discussion group gets larger than 3-4 the harder it is to prevent any discourse from rapidly degrading.
But I wouldn’t worry about not having any formal economic training in regards to the Great Depression. Just lead the conversation with what was typically taught in your history class.
In 4th grade my class had to watch this bizarre Great Depression docudrama concerning how this 12 year old girl bonked her head against a tree and was transported back in time just before the start of the Great Depression. There she tries to warn her young grandfather not to sell the family farm to obtain liquidity just to bet in the stock market.
(The script was very John Kenneth Galbraith oriented. That the cause of the Great Depression was due to Wall Street.)
I would very much like to find this vid. There was even a Golden Retriever named “Roosevelt” and everything. I don’t remember the title unfortunately, and is likely one of those dramas that are exclusively made for public school educational purposes.
Oddly enough, at another video showing in 4th grade there was a segment on “The Business Plot.” First time I ever heard about it. You had this short vid of someone who looked like a frumpy public school librarian talking about how evil businessmen tried to overthrow the democratically elected FDR. The man who saved us from the Great Depression and WW2.
It would be cool to watch this panel discuss the roots of the Great Depression. The idea that FDR and the New Deal solved the Great Depression is still widespread throughout contemporary US discourse.
I’ve always believed the fed was the bad guy in banking and if we got back to gold it would fix most everything, now I am really rethinking that. Is bitcoin in the same category as gold? My mind is kinda blown, I really kinda thought Jerome Powell was satan, now I’m thinking he might have been the original America first.
The greatest feeling in the world is the realization that you know nothing. This episode is way bigger than my frightened turtle brain was prepared for.
I would gather highly informative and humbling discussions such as these let me know I'm not in the fucking game and that I should know when to keep my mouth shut. Thank you.
All you guys are like the super-based version of “The View.”😂😂👍👍
PANEL discussion programs on POLITICS are as OLD as television itself. Thinking people talking = like THE VIEW is broke AF.
Its like going to a university library - and saying, ''WOW! There's like...PEOPLE here. This is like the BASED version of a GAY BATHHOUSE!''
Sure thing Whoopi.

😂 Hitler also financed libraries
And roads, very nice wide roads with no speed limit.
That is more stormy and Thomas and Pete, I don’t know anything about that. However it’s a great fucking idea

But now I’m just rambling.

J. Burden keeps going off on his supposedly worthless finance degree so he might have a thing or two to say.
Now I'm imagining Thomas on The View lmao
😂😂😂
I genuinely laughing right now.

What kills me is there is SO MUCH more that we didn’t get to and probably never will
I came to a firm understanding what it means it’s like trying to drink from a fire hose from listening to this episode.
What was the name of the guy (guest) and pod Pete said he liked so much where the guy was leaking the real info, Judge Brown…?
