Today Psychopolitics returns to interview J. Otto Pohl on his landmark, but woefully under appreciated, work of historical scholarship The Years of Great Silence.
Is Dr. Pohl a modern day Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn? I think so. Thank you for bringing this forward. It is past time for all of us to learn the history of these horrific wars. A very fine interview.
My ancestors were from Nekhla Hauland east of Poznan who after 1845 fled to England then Sth Australia to settle in a commune in the Barossa valley called Hoffnungsthal.
We, proportionally, like all minorities that suffer under the heel 👠 of the ruling cabal are survivors, not victims crying from pillar to post for sympathy or recompense.
Although our story is silenced, the slightest vibration of truth revealed as you have shown becomes a raging inextinguishable torrent of interest , inquiry and revealing.
We have many erudite pens like David Irving, Gemar Rudolf, Professor Robert Fauresson, as well as voices clear as a wolfs howl speaking truth like Monika and Alfred Schaefer, Brother Nathaniel Kapner, Laurant Guyenot. The vibration of these truths will day by day extinguish the fire of lies set in motion by the mental bile of the parasite tribe and their multicolored minions.
May the groves furnish you and mother earth share her fruits with you Josh and all at Astro.
Very informative! It was especially interesting to me as I know a number of ethnic Germans from Russia (Kazakhstan). They have been moving to my home town in British Columbia for the last decade and are some kind of Mennonite denomination. Very large families(10 plus children), modestly dressed women, keep marriages within the group etc.
Super interesting, my great grandfather and his brother left Volhynia Ukraine in late late 1800's to avoid conscription into Russian army for a war in Crimea and came to Canada, ultimately settling in Saskatchewan. Not sure when my ancestors might've moved into Russia initially. Thank you for your research Mr. Pohl!
Bought the book on Amazon, hopefully some proceeds go to Mr. Pohl? Pardon me, thank you to Psychopolitics and Astral for hosting and producing the podcast, greatly appreciate your interest in the topic!
Most Ukrainians came to the Prairies after 1890ish, with the largest immigration wave in 1914. While the Prairies are similar to the Ukrainian Steppe, Ukrainians basically all settled in wooded areas to supply their homesteads, you can map out forest and find all Ukrainian communities still to this day in these areas of the Prairies.
They are a fundamental part of our identity in the Prairies.
Although winnipeg is in Manitoba.. both Alberta and Manitoba have massive Ukrainian communities. In fact, the most Ukrainians outside of Ukraine and Russia are in Alberta then Saskatchewan then Manitoba, the Western Canadian Prairies.
Great podcast! I have never heard anything about the plight of ethnic Germans in the Soviet Union. I am gonna buy that book man.
Please do!
Very good interview! I have ordered the book.
Thank you so much for the comment!
Great conversation! Always cool when you have Josh on; he’s clear-headed and reasonable while not giving an inch in his radical ideas. Thank you.
