The Christianity discussion in this was very interesting. I would highly recommend reading Girard's 'I See Satan Fall Like Lightening' it is fantastic. It explores the origins of Christianity and how it was a revolutionary work on the human condition and desire. I'm not a trad or anything but the book is fantastic and makes multiple quality points about modern America. Our entire legal system is centered around Christianity and its revelations of human nature. Innocent until proven guilty and due process are derived from the Passion of Christ and it's hard to argue against that in my view. As we have drifted away from our Christian roots in America in modern times, we have lost a great deal of our understanding of why the system was designed the way it is during its foundation. It has led to a great deal of division today. We must at least accept the Christian values that founded the US or it will cease to be remotely recognizable in short-time.
