Inquisition Supplement: Yockey Part 2 - Cultrual Spirituality

Culture, History, and Imperium

Yockey has an idiosyncratic way of writing about history and culture, though he takes almost all of it from Spengler. In this supplementary episode, I explain Spengler’s understanding of Culture and History, and illustrate the way Yockey uses it to make his assessment of the post war era and try to predict the future for western civilization. In so doing, I explain a little about Hegel and Aristotle and how Spengler and Yockey incorporate them into their model.

Among other things, this episode is intended to enlighten the listener or reader as to how and why Yockey understands history and culture the way he does. Why he says we are in the “civilization” phase, what that means, why he says cultural history is a spiritual process, and why he believes the future of Europe lies with Russia.

This discussion is the extension and conclusion of things I explain and lay out in two previous essays, and they must be read in order grasp this discussion in a comprehensive sense: Spengler, The Election, and the Fate of the West, and History Restarts.

This is also the follow up to the previous supplementary episode on The Enemy Of Europe, and here’s Thomas777 and I talking about Yockey in context of Aristotle and Spengler.

All of these must be taken together as one whole, in addition to the Inquisition episodes on Yockey.
