Great episode. A lot of fun to revisit those old movies I grew up with, as I am a Gen Xer. That movie your guest was discussing towards the end was part of 'Masters of Horror' series in the mid 2000s called 'Cigarette Burns'.
I recently found out that the book Amityville Horror was not really based on a true story. The writer said that to sell the book.
Also, a bit of trivia on the first Evil Dead. The movie was on such a low budget that the scenes shot in the woods as the demon is approaching the house are just two men carrying a piece of wood with the video recorder taped to it.
One more...Dario Argento:
'Suspppppiria!........You can hide, but you can not escape'. That movie scared the hell out of me.
